City of Evanston Policing Data

We believe that data is essential for Evanston residents to ensure that EPD policing supports our community values including our commitment to end discrimination and racial injustice as described in the Evanston City Council Resolution:  Commitment to End Structural Racism and Achieve Racial Equity.  Below is our compilation of data on EPD Use of Force, Officer Discipline and  Traffic Stops.  The City of Evanston does not publish this policing data for review by Evanston residents.  We obtained the information from the  Illinois Department of Transportation and through  Freedom of Information Act requests filed through the City Clerks office. We have used both the NextRequest and MuckRock FOIA platforms.  Each data set contains links to the sources we used in our analysis.
